Marco Famiglietti, Workers' Compensation Judge, Retired Partner

With nearly 40 years of experience, the senior partner of the firm, Marco A. Famiglietti defended every type of workers’ compensation claim imaginable.  As of January 2016, Mr. Famiglietti accepted an offer to become a Workers’ Compensation Judge at the Santa Ana WCAB.  Judge Famiglietti continues to provide his counsel and experience to the firm which bears his name.

Joseph Volpe grew up in Atlanta Georgia and later moved to Huntington Beach, California. Mr. Volpe graduated from Whittier College School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 1997. He began his career with the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office as a criminal defense attorney. In 2000 Mr. Volpe began his practice of workers compensation with Famiglietti & Larr. Mr. Volpe applies extensive experience and skills as a vigorous trial attorney and negotiator in his representation of his clients in the field of workers’ compensation. Mr. Volpe has defended employers, insurance carriers and third party adjusting agencies in all aspects of Workers’ Compensation Litigation, including representing employers on Serious & Willful and Labor Code Section 132(a) claims. Mr. Volpe has successfully litigated contribution settlements resulting in over a million and half dollars for his clients.

Mr. Thomas Cieslinski was born and raised in Upstate New York.  Prior to attending Whittier Law School, Mr. Cieslinski earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Chaminade University of Honolulu. Mr. Cieslinski was admitted to the California Bar in 2005; practicing both Civil Litigation as well as Workers’ Compensation law.  Mr. Cieslinski applies his civil experience in the workers compensation field in acquiring reimbursement from third party defendants.  In addition to attending seminars and lectures, Mr. Cieslinski enhances his workers compensation knowledge by volunteering as a judge Pro-Tem at the Santa Ana WCAB from time to time.  Over the past eight years, Mr. Cieslinski has developed working relationships with numerous third party administrators (such as Broadspire and Sedgwick CMS) as well as self insured employers including Disneyland Resorts and The Garden Grove Unified School District.
